Find Out: Is 0.5 an Even or Odd Number?

What will you do if you were writing an exam an the next question you see on your paper is "is 0.5 an even or odd number". Even though this question sounds awkward or meaningless you still might not know the answer.
Even numbers(2,4,16,26 etc) are numbers which can be divided into two equal parts by 2 while odd numbers are the opposite(you probably know that already, don't you). So which group of numbers does 0.5 belong to? The answer is NONE. Surprised?(don't be). Only integers(whole numbers) can be categorized as been either even or odd, decimals can neither be even nor odd.
Next time someone asks you if 0.5 or any other decimal number is even or odd all you have to answer is "its neither even nor odd".
