There are different styles of learning. To make it simpler, there are majorly 3 styles of learning; Visual ,Audio, Hands on.How do you know which one works for you. Most students usually get confused when it comes to choosing a learning style that works for them. You are unique, what works for me might not work for you and vice-versa. So how do you pick a learning style.
- Remember certain situations: Try thinking about what you remember about some certain situation. For example if you meet someone for the first time what do you remember about them, their face(visual), What they said(audio) or what you both did together(hands on).
- Try out each learning style: You can never know how something feels until you experience it. Try using all of the learning styles when studying. For visual learning take notes, diagram and make a mind map when studying, see if it works for you. For audio learning, read out, also try talking about what you read and see if it works. For hands on learning simply make sure you participate in class, practice what you learn in real life.
- Stick with it: When you find out your preferable learning style, stick with it, develop it so that it will work for you better every time.
What is your favorite learning style and how well does it work for you?
