The news about mass failure in the 2014 WASSCE is everywhere. Students failed, yes, but what's the next step. I suggest we sack all our teachers (just a suggestion) but it seems WAEC isn't pondering what I'm pondering because they want to start teaching (or Training) Teachers.
The Management of WAEC said at the weekend that it would soon start a nationwide training of teacher to improve the performance of candidates.
The outgoing Head of Test Administration Divisions, Mr Kester Ekekwe, made the statement during the Test Administration Division Planning and Coordinating Committee (TADPCC) meeting in Uyo.
“WAEC is the only organization in the whole world doing this and we collaborate with anybody who wants to improve on examination performance in the country." he said.
Is the training of teachers by WAEC the right step towards a better WAEC result?
