The Federal university of Petroleum Resources Trio Anine Lawrence, Eze Stanley and Rose Idoko have been chosen to represent the African region in the 2014 global Geosciences Mapping Exercise holding later in the year in the United States of America (USA).
FUPRE Vice Chancellor, Prof John Ovwata Etu-Efeotor, disclosed this while hosting members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Warri Chapel  at the Ogbomro campus of the university.  FUPRE emerged second overall best institution during the exercise in Ghana, but its students did remarkably well in their respective categories.
The vice-chancellor also emphasised that his administration was committed to the development of the institution and has been reaching out towards its realization.
Prof Etu-Efeotor, also noted that he would not “shy away from begging or asking people to bring their money for the development of the university", also revealed his former employers and oil multinationals, Exxon Mobil, were in the process of delivering N22 million worth of equipment to FUPRE.

What do you think about the Nigerian students at FUPRE representing Africa?
