At the closing ceremony of the 2014 Professor Odusola Ojerinde memorial golf tournament in Otukpo, Benue State, the JAMB registrar Professor Dibu Ojerinde stated that students and candidates who are not computer literate will not be allowed to write any examination coordinated by the board from 2015.
He announced that starting from 2015 any student that is not computer literate will not be allowed to write JAMB exams(I pity those in rural areas). He said it was part of efforts to improve education in Nigeria in line with global best practices.
He also added, “it was for that reason that JAMB embarked on the establishment of Computer Based Centres across the country preparatory for all its examinations”.
Do you think JAMB is doing the right thing by not allowing computer illiterates to take its exams?
